height sensor
The sensor measures the changes in the vehicle posture, detecting the relative displacement of the vehicle height, which means the vertical distance between the vehicle body and the lower arm or shock absorber mount. By controlling the linkage, the up-and-down movement of the suspension is converted into rotational motion of the disk groove. The variations detected by the optical interrupter are used to assess the vehicle height, which is then transformed into an angle signal input to the ECU.
