Successfully Developed the First Self-Made Shock Absorber
In April 1961, the Huanghe lever type shock absorber was successfully developed, and production of the Jiefang and Yuejin lever type shock absorbers began in succession. This filled the gap in domestic production of automotive shock absorbers in China, making it the first specialized manufacturer to independently research and produce automotive shock absorbers in the country. Production of the Jiefang, Yuejin, and Huanghe lever type shock absorbers continued thereafter.
Started Manufacturing Shock Absorbers.
In 1970, it was renamed "Xichuan Automotive Parts Factory" and designated as a "designated manufacturer of automotive shock absorbers" by the Automotive Bureau of the Ministry of Machinery Industry. With support from Shanghai Automotive, Dongfeng, and Second Automobile, it began the production of telescopic shock absorbers.
Independently Developed Four Victory Automobiles.
In 1976, the company independently developed four Victory automobiles.
Opening a Glorious Chapter in the Production of Various Automobile Shock Absorbers.
In 1979, the company independently developed telescopic shock absorbers for automobiles, including the S20, S30, and S40 series, along with applications for models such as the Shanghai 130 (front and rear), Shanqi, Mitsubishi 20BL, Beili CBL-25A, Hino KB220, and Unicar. This innovation opened a remarkable chapter in the manufacturing of diverse automotive shock absorbers.
Registering the Danjiang Trademark.
In April 1982, CIJAN registered the Danjiang trademark at the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
Providing Support for Joint Ventures
In 1985, CIJAN successfully developed sedan shock absorbers, exclusively supplying them for Audi/Hongqi and Jetta models.
Officially Entered the Ranks of Passenger Vehicle Shock Absorbers.
In 1996, CIJAN introduced high-end equipment products from Germany, successfully transforming from "cargo shock absorbers" to "passenger vehicle shock absorbers."
Opened a Chapter of Cooperation with FAW-Volkswagen.
Since the 1990s, CIJAN has established a good cooperative relationship with FAW-Volkswagen. With excellent quality and superb technology, CIJAN has successfully supplied parts for several popular models of FAW-Volkswagen. Both parties have engaged in in-depth cooperation in product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, jointly promoting the development of the automotive industry in China.

In 2004, CIJAN was selected as a supplier by PSA
"Integrated Innovation Award" and "Original Innovation Award for Independent Automotive Innovation Achievements in China"
In 2006, CIJAN received the "Integrated Innovation Award" and the "Original Innovation Award for Achievements in Independent Automotive Innovation in China.
CIJAN New Plant Breaks Ground
In 2010, the groundbreaking for a new 800 mu factory site took place.
Acquisition of Italian company Wayassauto
In 2012, it was a year of strategic significance for CIJAN. During this year, CIJAN successfully acquired the Italian company Wayassauto, demonstrating its forward-looking international vision and strong globalization strategy. This acquisition marked an important expansion for Chinese auto parts companies in the international market.
Nanyang Haofan was established
In 2015, Haofan Company was built and put into operation.
Nanyang Wayassauto was established
In 2016, Nanyang Wayassauto Vehicle Shock Absorber Co., Ltd. was established.
Obtained CRRC Supporting License
In 2016, CIJAN obtained the supplier supporting license from CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Vehicle Co., Ltd.
Got PSA System Certification
In 2016, CIJAN passed the PSA QSB+ quality system certification.
Supply to the Subway, Achieving the "First" for National Enterprises.
In 2017, CIJAN's metro dampers achieved bulk supply. CIJAN passed the evaluation by CRRC Tangshan Locomotive Company, becoming the "first" for national enterprises.
Intelligent Manufacturing Workshop has been established and put into production.
CIJAN has successfully built a modern intelligent manufacturing workshop and officially put into operation, marking a significant breakthrough for the company in the field of smart manufacturing. This intelligent manufacturing workshop employs international leading technology, achieving automation and intelligence in production, significantly enhancing production efficiency and product quality, and setting a new benchmark for smart manufacturing in China's auto parts industry.
National Enterprise Technology Center
In 2019, CIJAN was recognized as "National Enterprise Technology Center".
Shanghai CIJAN was established
In 2019, Shanghai CIJAN Automobile Suspension Co., Ltd. was established.
Passed Daimler Review
Passed Daimler Review in 2020.
ADS automated production line has put into production
In 2021, the Semi-Active Damper automated production line was put into production, marking the first fully self-owned intellectual property production line designed by CIJAN in China.
The Overall Relocation of Shanghai CIJAN to a New Site.
In 2023, Shanghai CIJAN Automotive Suspension Co., Ltd. moved entirely to Maqiao Town, Minhang District.
The automated production line continues to be in production.
In 2023, the second fully automated ADS production line was completed, along with the establishment of the ECAS production line.
