When it comes to Geely Automobile, as the first private car company in China, it is likely that everyone today knows it. However, you may not know that Geely started its journey in car manufacturing in the 1990s with little understanding of automobiles, using the theory of "four wheels plus two sofas" to kick off its endeavor in vehicle production.

Geely’s growth story is legendary. From its initial low-cost models to its current strategy of positioning high-end brands, Geely has developed over more than thirty years in the increasingly competitive automotive market. It has established world-class modern vehicle and powertrain manufacturing plants in China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Belgium, Belarus, and Malaysia. Additionally, Geely boasts over 4,000 sales outlets globally, with its product sales and service networks covering all corners of the world. The number of its subsidiaries and sub-brands is simply countless.


Geely Auto has gradually established its market position through a clear brand strategy and market layout. Not only has Geely launched several popular models in the domestic market, such as the EMGRAND, Boyue, and Binrui, but it has also expanded into international markets through acquisitions and collaborations.


In 2010, Geely acquired the Swedish car brand Volvo. This move not only enhanced Geely's brand image but also brought advanced technology and management experience to the company. Through its collaboration with Volvo, Geely significantly improved in areas such as safety and environmental technology, further consolidating its competitiveness in the global market. In 2017, Geely acquired a 49.9% stake in Proton and a 51% stake in Lotus.


Today, Geely Group has grown into a global enterprise group, with total assets exceeding 480 billion yuan and a workforce of over 120,000 employees. It has been listed on the Fortune Global 500 for 11 consecutive years.

 

The collaboration between Geely and CIJAN began from the production line of the first car.


In 1998, Geely's first sedan, Meiri, rolled off the production line in Linhai, Zhejiang, equipped with CIJAN’s shock absorber.


In 2003, Geely launched its first domestically produced sports car, Mybo, which also utilized CIJAN’s shock absorbers.


In 2006, CIJAN began to produce shock absorbers for Geely Liberty Ship, which performed well after sale.


In 2007, CIJAN began to produce shock absorbers for Geely Vision.


In 2011, Geely had its own joint venture shock absorber company;


From 2011 to 2014, CIJAN only supplied shock absorbers for Liberty Ship, while all other models were developed by Geely’s joint venture shock absorber company. However, CIJAN did not give up and maintained good communication with Geely, providing comprehensive services and continuing regular technical exchanges with Geely.


In 2015, we finally impressed Geely again with our services and cost-effectiveness, securing a new project for Geely Jiaji, which was launched in 2019.


CIJAN supplied New Vision, Bin Yue in 2019;


In 2021, CIJAN supplied the fourth generation Emgrand;


In 2023, CIJAN won Geely Best Value Contribution Award;

In 2024, the Galaxy E5 developed by CIJAN and Geely was launched as a blockbuster model for Geely Star Wish and won the Best Supplier Award of the year.

The legend of Geely continues, and the following of CIJAN never stops. Looking back at the history of collaboration between CIJAN and Geely, we will find that our collaboration has not always been very smooth, and there have been objective reasons for pause.


Speaking of the business almost suspended in 2011-2014, Liu Hongxin, the business manager, smiled resignedly, “It was inevitable. After all, at that time Geely had its own joint venture shock absorber factory. We could only hold on and continue to put customers first, waiting for opportunities."


When asked if she had any memorable customer-first service stories, she smiled again and said, “There are so many! I have so much to say!”


Silence is more powerful than sound.


But we finally made it. Geely has seen our genuine commitment to being customer-centricity, as well as our willingness to embrace change, break through personal limitations, continually grow, and our determination to progress alongside our customers.
