Stellantis N.V. is a multinational automotive manufacturer, formed in 2021 by the merger of Italian-American company FCA and French company PSA. It is a large automotive group corporation with 400,000 employees, operating in more than 130 countries. It owns manufacturing plants in 30 countries and an annual production of over 6 million vehicles.

The company owns multiple car brands: Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, FIAT, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, RAM, etc.

The former PSA is the second largest automobile manufacturer in Europe, established in France in 1896. And the former FIAT, a renowned Italian automobile manufacturing company, was established in 1899. The former Chrysler Group, founded in the United States in 1925, is one of the three leading American automobile manufacturers, alongside Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company. It has several car brands, including Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep.

Local collaboration began in 2006

Starting in 2006, CIJAN began collaborating with DPCA (a joint venture between Dongfeng and PSA) to supply shock absorbers for the Peugeot 206 model. They subsequently expanded their supply to other Peugeot models, including the 207, 307, 301, 308, 408, 2008, and 3008. In 2008, they also began supplying shock absorbers for the Picasso, later followed by Elysee, C3, etc. At one time, CIJAN covered the supply of shock absorbers for all Peugeot models and some Citroën models for DPCA, becoming the main supplier of shock absorbers for DPCA in the domestic market.

Started the global market collaboration in 2023

In 2021, CIJAN started collaborating with the overseas team of Stellantis on technical exchanges and product validation for overseas vehicle models. However, due to the soaring global ocean freight in 2022, the project was suspended for about half a year. With the ocean freight returning to normal levels, both parties immediately resumed the project. Finally in July 2023, CIJAN officially secured a place on the CMP platform and is set to begin mass production in 2024. The products will be assembled in Stellantis’s factories located in Spain, Morocco, and France, covering models like the Peugeot 208, 2008, Corsa, Opel Corsa, and Lancia, with both fuel and electric versions available.
